Steven M. Kahaner is Vice President and General Counsel of Marste & Co., Inc., a New-York-based language-services company, and Executive Director of Juriscribe®, a specialist provider of legal translation services to law firms, financial institutions and multinational corporations. A U.S. lawyer admitted in New York and Connecticut, he has more than 35 years' experience advising on corporate, finance and international business matters, including cross-border governance and disclosure issues.
Before joining Marste, he practiced at several international law firms, working on securities, project finance and corporate transactions. Steven has held leadership and governance roles in numerous professional organizations, including serving as General Counsel of the Association of Language Companies. He regularly lectures and publishes on legal-translation risk, corporate terminology and comparative legal systems, and has taught legal translation and international-contract drafting topics in executive programs.
